It all started when…

Frank and Amanda of Frank Holmes Fine Decor, met Rachel Cabble of Cable and Blake, Kendal.

We first met Rachel in 2018 when both of our companies exhibited at the former Cumbria Life Home and Garden Show. Earlier this year we had a conversation about how we could create a similar platform to showcase the incredible talent in our region that was open to the general public.

The BRAND NEW Home Interiors & Renovation Exhibition (HIRE Cumbria) will launch on 21-22nd March 2025 at The Swan Hotel & Spa, Newby Bridge. LA12 8NB.

What’s it all about?

Design, innovation and sustainability are are the forefront of our minds when looking to add character, individuality and personality to our homes, but often people don’t know where to begin. Cumbria and the Northwest have an abundance of incredible designers who can help, advise, design and create, bringing visions to reality.

As well as having access to a wide range of specialist trades and industry experts, visitors can attend talks, demos and workshops that will motivate and inspire them in their own projects.

Media Stars to Broadcast from the Event

 Media stars and upholsterers, Vicky Grubb and Ray Clarke, (BBC’s Money for Nothing and the Discovery Channel’s Salvage Hunters: the Restorers) will bring their new podcast ‘Sit on This’ to the show.

The Home Interiors and Renovation Exhibition (HIRE Cumbria) will be held at The Swan Hotel and Spa, Newby Bridge on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 March 2025.  Vicky and Ray will appear on Saturday.
